This policy clearly outlines the process if you cancel a booked service or if a service is canceled. Please read this policy and the relevant vendor’s specific policy carefully before booking an appointment for any service. This policy applies to all bookings, services, rentals, events, and classified listings made on the Skillvex platform.

General Information?

Skillvex is a multi-vendor marketplace, so the cancellation policy operates on two levels:- 

  • Platform’s Core Policy: This is the general framework that all vendors must adhere to.
  • Vendor-Specific Policy: Each service provider (such as doctors, fitness trainers, salons) can set their own cancellation deadlines and fees for their services, provided they fall within the scope of our core policy.

At the time of booking, the vendor’s specific policy will be clearly displayed and you will be required to acknowledge it.

General Cancellation Procedure:-

  • How to Cancel:-   Your booking can be canceled simply by logging into your Skillvex account and going to the ‘My Bookings’ section. In case of disability, please email:- support@skillvex.com.
  • Importance of deadlines:-  Timelines are crucial because cancellation policies and costs often depend on the amount of time that elapses between the cancellation date and the scheduled date and time of the service or appointment. Cancellation and refund decisions are made based on these elapsed timeframes.

Cancellation Scenarios and Refunds:-

A. Customer Booking Cancellation :-

  • The customer can cancel the booking (reservation) within the given time limit.

  • Cancellation approval and refund amount will depend on the respective vendor’s policy.

  • Some services may be non-refundable, which will be indicated at the time of booking.

  • Cancellations made after the specified time may result in a partial or no refund.

  • If a user cancels a booking between 24 and 48 hours, they will receive a partial refund (after deduction of a cancellation fee, as per the vendor’s policy, which is usually a percentage of the booking price). The cancellation fee will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be refunded to you.

If a user cancels a booking within 24 hours or less, they will receive no refund or only a very small, symbolic refund (because the seller’s time was reserved and they lost the opportunity for other bookings).

B. Vendor Cancellation of Booking:-

  • The buyer will get a complete refund (100%) if the vendor cancels the Booking (reservation) for any reason.

  • Skillvex may take appropriate action or impose penalties on the vendor in such cases.

No-Show Policy:-

  • If a customer does not arrive for their scheduled appointment or is unavailable at the scheduled time, it will be considered a no-show.
  • No refunds will be given in case of a no-show.

  • No-show: If you fail to show up for your appointment and do not cancel in advance, a refund is generally not provided.

  • Poor service by the vendor: If the service does not meet the standards advertised by the vendor, you can file a complaint with our customer support. We will investigate the matter and mediate between you and the vendor to reach a fair resolution (partial/full refund).

  • In some cases, the vendor may offer a partial refund according to their own policy.

  • Natural disaster/Unforeseen event: In situations like the COVID-19 lockdown, our policy will be flexible, and you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule your booking.

Events, Rentals, and Special Bookings :-

  • Event tickets, concerts, festivals, and special bookings are typically non-refundable.
  • Refund policies for rental services will depend on the booking period and usage.

  • The refund policy for such services will be clearly displayed on the booking page.

Payment failure situation:-

  • If the amount is debited during the payment process but the booking is not confirmed, the amount will be automatically refunded within 5-7 business days.
  • In case of bank holidays or technical errors, it may take longer than the stipulated time. Please be assured that your money will be credited to your original payment method.
  • These refunds are sent directly to the customer’s original payment method.

How does the refund process work?:-

  • Process:- Once the cancellation is accepted, the refund will be initiated automatically.
  • A secure payment gateway is used to process any refunds.

  • The refund amount may be credited to the customer’s bank account/card/UPI within 5-10 business days.

  • The processing time may vary depending on the bank or payment provider.

Partial Refund:-

The following situations may result in a partial refund:- 

  • Partial use of the service

  • Late cancellation

  • Special conditions stipulated by the vendor

Disputes & Support:-

  • Skillvex can act as a mediator in any refund or cancellation disputes.
  • The vendor’s policy and the information at hand will be the basis for the ultimate judgment.

Skillvex's Rights:-

  • Skillvex reserves the right to investigate any refund request,
  • reject fraudulent or unwarranted claims,
  • And take appropriate action for policy violations.

Policy Changes:-

  • Skillvex may modify this cancellation and refund policy from time to time.
  • The updated policy will be considered effective as soon as it is published on the website.
